In the heart of the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds is Shire Farm, one of UK's largest biodynamic farms, where we lovingly tend the land as nature intended. By adhering to strict biodynamic farming methods – holistic and self-sustaining with high standards of animal welfare and deep respect for the earth – we farm our land without the use of artificial fertilizers and pesticides. At Shire Farm we adore our flock of Zwartbles sheep, originally a rare breed from the Netherlands, for their gentle personality and striking appearance.
 
Their fleece is black with contrasting white markings on the face, feet and tail. Our 100% wool products are spun and woven by family run Curlew Weavers in South Wales.
 
Blend of 50% of our own Zwartbles wool and 50% British Alpaca that is used to soften the fabric.
